Learning publicly is uncomfortable

Learning publicly is uncomfortable.

Making mistakes out loud stretches and grows me.

It makes sense to me why not everyone wants to be in leadership.

Back in 2019, Soriya and produced a Femme Play Party and we got some feedback that we were not being clear or inclusive.

I felt embarrassed, confused and heartbroken.

It did NOT matter my intention or how much I was "trying" to do it right or well. The truth is, I just didn't have the right education.

And the impact was, people felt hurt.

So I courageously wrote on FB what happened and asked if people had ideas and advice. Terra Anderson (who I didn't know at the time) generously chimed with with a mountain of wisdom!!!!!

I was so blown away by their knowledge I took the Queer Competency Course that fundamentally transformed who I am within myself, which resulted in me being a leader who not only attracts more trans/non-binarry/gender non-conforming humans to my events, I am a leader who creates MORE safety for gender expansive spaces.

So last weekend Soirya and I produced another sold out Femme Play Party, and we have 60 brave, sexy, amazing and hot Femmes and it was potent, magical, healing, sexy, giggle fest, hot, creative, loving, inspiring and so much fun!

One of the things I most celebrate about those 60 humans was the diversity! We had a wide range of gender identities, gender expressions, age, race, relationship orientations, vanilla and kinky, and sex-positive experience.

One of the things I pride myself with my events is that a first timer can show up, not knowing anyone, and feel safe enough and included enough to have a positive experience.

I am in tears reading some of the testimonies from people that were terrified to show up, and they reported having a transformative and healing experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And I know that the way Soirya and I create the space creates that magic, and equally important is the quality of people who show up to co-create and cultivate that warm and welcoming environment.

It is so rewarding knowing that I could make a mistake as a leader, cause harm, and then lean into to learning so that I can do better.

I cannot WAIT to do another Femme Play Party with the extraordinary Soirya!!!!!!!!!!
